ARIZONA 2019
As the Moondogs prepare for our trip to Arizona for the Over 65 World Series, we thank Coach Patrick Cartier and the Riverdawg Rebels and members of the EABL for a great exhibition game at Easton's Hackett Park. We got to face the future baseball stars and the future looks bright. There's nothing better than playing fall baseball.
Enjoy the photos from the game.

Arizona 2019 did not go as planned. We played very poorly and for the first time in 10 years, we did not advance out of the bracket and into the playoffs. With a bracket record of 1-4, we were all disappointed. Maybe 2020 will be different...or at least better.
After a stellar career at East Stroudsburg University, former closer Rich Wescoe takes the mound against a very good Minnesota Bandits team during the 2019 MSBL World Series. Game played at Goodyear Stadium.

other worldly matters.
Since 1988 we have been playing in the MSBL World Series in Arizona. The first years in the Over 30 Division , then in he Over 40 Division, and as of 2009 in the Over 55 Division.
We have been competitive in most years winning MSBL National Championships in 1996, 1998, 2003 and 2015. In 2008 and 2009, as members of the NABA we captured that organization's Over 55 National Championship.
We've had many sponsors including: VSAS Orthopaedics, Banko Beverage, Starter's Pub, Straight Arrow, Shruty's Pub
We've all grown older together , not always wiser, but always came to play- win or lose.

Randy Fleck led the way with a hefty 530 batting average.

In 2011 the Mooondogs were victims of a lack of offense as the team struggled throughout the bracket totalling just 43 hits in 8 games.
However pitchers Bruce Alpaugh, Dave Palumbo, Dennis Kinney, Gary Prugh, and Barry Peterman were key in the 4-2 record in bracket play.
In the first round of the playoffs, Barry Peterman continued his dominance with a 4-0 victory over Minnesota. Peterman piched 17 strong innings during the tournament
an did not allow a run.
In the semi-final Dennis Kinney piched 11 innings but the Moondogs continued to struggle offensively and were eliminated fron the World Series with a loss to Sacramento 4-3.
