Becker's Corner on Old Bethlehem Rd was the sight of our post game gathering. We didn't win but we didn't lose. Tied Hilltown 11-11. Description of the game is on the Home Page. After the meal, we all felt blessed in a very unusual way. June 25, 2017.

On Sunday, Feb 5, 2017 during Super Bowl LI, Atlanta holds an 8 point leads over New England with 3 minutes to go in the game. The Falcons had a 1st and 10 from the Patriots 24 yard line. All the coaches at the party knew to  run the ball 3 times and kick a potentially winning field goal while taking at least 2 minutes off the clock. Atlanta ran the ball on 1st down, took a sack for a loss and had a holding call to force a 4th and 33 resulting in giving up the ball on a punt. The Pates drove the length of the field, converted a 2 point conversion tying the game. The rest is history. We witnessed it all. Some were dissapointed and some (Fleck and me) were happy.

On Sunday, January 15 the Moondogs gathered for a dinner party. It was a great time, great food and much laughter. We are now officially ready for the 2017 season.

We would like to congratulate teammate Matt Connolly on his landslide victory in the
2016 Republican Primary elections.
His 63-37 margin of victory set the stage for Matt's run at the 17th U.S. Congressional
 District in November.
Fellow teammate Don Jean and I worked the polls on Election Day and we would
both like to believe we influenced enough voters to create the landslide.
   Just sayin'

PALMER DAYS 2015
It's kind of funny how the soulful sounds of Sam and Dave (below left) can score with a top Billboard hit "Hold on, I'm coming"  in 1966 and score again in 1967 with "Soul Man"
Then in 2014, (below right), they appeared with some Rutgers Cheeleaders on the sidelines of a Scarlet Knights football game.
Wait a minute,  they aren't the same guys... a different Sam and Dave. I'm sorry, my mistake.

  • On Monday, December 22, the Moondogs celebrated the Christmas Season at
Shruty's Pub, Easton, Pa. It was a great time and we look forward to 2015.

       PALMER TOWNSHIP COMMUNITY DAYS 2013

Picture

  On August 15, 16, 17, & 18, 2013, The Moondogs took
part in the very festive Palmer Days at Fairview Park in
Palmer Twsp, Pa.
This was our first effort in this yearly event and a total
committment by all players made this a huge sucess.
The menu included steamed clams, shrimp cocktail,
fried clams, fried shrimp, and beverages.
The highlight was the aw shucks corn masterfully prepared by Matt Connolly and daughter Lexi
The best part of this team effort was that a portion
of the proceeds went to the Miracle League of Northampton County.
Along with the Moondog players, our special thanks
to: Bob, Lexi, Denise, Doreen, Becky, and Linda. You
were a big part of it and we are grateful.
